Most residential heat pump installations are completed in one to two days. A straightforward changeout is often a single day; whole-home ductless or panel-upgrade jobs can take two. We confirm the timeline in your written quote before any work starts.
Do heat pumps work in Pacific Northwest winters?
Yes. Modern cold-climate heat pumps (including Mitsubishi Hyper-Heat) keep heating efficiently well below freezing, which covers the vast majority of Clark County winter temperatures. For the rare cold snap we can pair a heat pump with gas backup (dual-fuel) so you are always covered.
What heat pump rebates can I get in Vancouver, WA?
In Clark County, Clark PUD pays $500 to $1,250 on a ducted heat pump, but only to installers in the utility’s Contractor Network, and Pacific Peak is not a member, so we do not quote that money. The flat $900 ductless rebate takes any Washington-licensed contractor, so that one we file. Both require that your home heats with electricity today: a gas or oil furnace earns $0. We file the rebate paperwork for whichever of these you actually qualify for.
