Whole-home comfort from one efficient system. We install ducted central heat pumps and Mitsubishi ductless mini-splits across Vancouver and the Portland metro — sized right with a real load calculation, installed to code, and backed by the Mitsubishi Diamond 12-year warranty.
What a proper heat pump install includes.
A heat pump is only as good as the install. Every job we do starts with a Manual J load calculation — not a rule-of-thumb guess — so the system is matched to your actual home, not oversized or undersized. From there: matched indoor and outdoor equipment, a properly sized and flushed line-set, the electrical and panel work the system needs, the permit pulled with your jurisdiction, and full commissioning so it runs the way the manufacturer intended.
Systems we install.
Ducted central heat pumps — for homes with existing ductwork. American Standard and Mitsubishi variable-speed systems that heat and cool the whole house from one unit.
Ductless mini-splits — single-zone to whole-home multi-zone Mitsubishi systems, ideal for homes without ducts, additions, shops, and tricky rooms. As a Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor, these qualify for the extended 12-year warranty.
Dual-fuel (heat pump + gas backup) — the heat pump does the everyday work; the furnace covers the rare cold snap. See when dual-fuel makes sense.
Yes. Modern cold-climate heat pumps — including Mitsubishi Hyper-Heat — keep heating efficiently well below freezing, which covers nearly all of our Vancouver and Portland winter temperatures. We cover the details in heat pumps in cold weather.
What it costs — and the rebates that lower it.
Most heat pump installs in our area land between $11,800 and $36,800 before rebates, depending on system type, home size, and efficiency tier. In Clark County, Clark PUD rebates up to $2,500 apply; on the Oregon side, Energy Trust of Oregon incentives do. We file the rebate paperwork for you. Want a number for your home? 3 · Install & walkthrough. Our own crew installs it (usually 1–2 days), then walks you through the system. Here is what to expect during a changeout.
Why homeowners choose Pacific Peak.
We install two brands and two brands only — Mitsubishi Electric and American Standard — so we know them cold. We are a Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor (the elite tier, with the 12-year warranty) and an American Standard Authorized Dealer. The crew is direct-hire — no subcontractors — permits are always pulled, and we are licensed and bonded in Washington (Lic# PACIFPM742JC).
Most heat pump installs in the Vancouver area run between $11,800 and $36,800 before rebates, depending on whether it is a ducted central system or a ductless mini-split, the size of your home, and the efficiency tier. Clark PUD rebates up to $2,500 and other incentives can lower that. Use our online estimator for a ballpark, or book a free in-home quote for a firm number.
Most residential heat pump installations are completed in one to two days. A straightforward changeout is often a single day; whole-home ductless or panel-upgrade jobs can take two. We confirm the timeline in your written quote before any work starts.
