Pacific Peak Mechanical is a Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Contractor serving Vancouver and the Portland metro. That's Mitsubishi's top dealer tier — and it's why we can install the full ductless and heat pump lineup with the extended 12-year factory warranty.
What "Diamond Contractor" actually means.
Mitsubishi Electric doesn't hand out the Diamond Contractor designation to anyone who buys their equipment. It's their highest dealer tier, reserved for contractors who meet Mitsubishi's standards for technical training, installation quality, and customer care. Diamond Contractors complete multi-day factory training (classroom plus hands-on field assessment), maintain ongoing certification, and are held to install-quality requirements.
For you, the homeowner, the Diamond designation translates into two concrete things:
The extended 12-year factory warranty. Standard Mitsubishi warranties run 5–7 years when installed by a non-Diamond contractor. Diamond Contractor installs qualify for the full 12-year parts and compressor warranty — roughly double the coverage, at no extra cost.
Installs done the way Mitsubishi designed them. Most ductless failures trace back to bad installation — improper line-set brazing, wrong refrigerant charge, undersized equipment. Diamond Contractor training exists specifically to prevent that. We follow Mitsubishi's commissioning process on every system.
The Mitsubishi systems we install.
As a Diamond Contractor, we install the complete premium Mitsubishi lineup — not a limited selection:
M-Series ductless mini-splits — single-zone systems for one room, an addition, a bonus room, or a garage/ADU. The most efficient way to add heating and cooling to a space without ductwork.
P-Series and Smart Multi (MXZ-SM) — multi-zone systems where one outdoor unit drives 2–8 indoor heads in any combination of wall-mount, floor-mount, ceiling cassette, or concealed slim-duct. Ideal for whole-home ductless conversions.
Hyper-Heat (H2i) cold-climate models — our standard recommendation for the Pacific Northwest. These deliver full rated heating capacity down to 5°F and continue heating well below that, with R-454B refrigerant on all current models.
Vancouver's mild-but-damp climate is close to ideal for ductless heat pumps. Winters rarely drop below 25°F, which is well within the comfortable operating range of modern Mitsubishi Hyper-Heat systems — they run efficiently through our coldest typical nights and cool the house through summer heat waves. Because mini-splits skip the duct losses that plague forced-air systems, they're often the most efficient option for homes with no existing ductwork, older homes with leaky ducts, or additions where extending ductwork is impractical. We cover the full comparison in our guide to ductless vs ducted systems.
What a Mitsubishi install with Pacific Peak includes.
A proper load calculation. We run a Manual J to size each zone correctly — oversized ductless heads short-cycle and dehumidify poorly, which is a common mistake.
Direct-hire crews, no subcontractors. Every install is performed by a trained Pacific Peak employee, not a rotating contract crew.
Pulled permits and inspection. Every job is permitted through Clark County or the relevant Oregon jurisdiction.
The 12-year factory warranty, registered for you. We handle the warranty registration so your coverage is locked in.
Rebate handling. Mitsubishi ductless installs qualify for Clark PUD rebates (up to $1,500 first head, $250 each additional). We compile and submit the paperwork. See our Clark PUD rebate guide.

What does a Mitsubishi ductless system cost?
In the Vancouver metro, single-zone Mitsubishi installs typically run $5,500–$8,500, and whole-home multi-zone systems run $18,000–$28,000 before rebates — depending on zone count, head types, and electrical. Serving Vancouver and the Portland metro.
We install and service Mitsubishi systems across Vancouver, Camas, Battle Ground, Ridgefield, Washougal, and Brush Prairie in Washington, plus Portland and Gresham in Oregon — roughly a 25-mile radius from our Vancouver headquarters. See our full service area.
Common questions about Mitsubishi & Diamond status.
It's Mitsubishi Electric's highest dealer tier, earned through multi-day factory training, ongoing certification, and install-quality standards. The practical benefit: Diamond Contractor installs qualify for the extended 12-year parts-and-compressor warranty — about double the standard 5–7 years — at no extra cost.
No. The extended 12-year parts-and-compressor coverage is earned by our Diamond Contractor status, not bought — it costs you nothing beyond the install itself. We register the warranty for you so the coverage is locked in.
For most homes here, yes. Mitsubishi Hyper-Heat models deliver full heating capacity down to about 5°F and keep running below that, which covers nearly every Vancouver and Portland winter — and they cool through summer heat waves. Because they skip duct losses, they're often the most efficient option, especially for homes without existing ductwork. See our ductless vs ducted guide and cold-weather performance.
In the Vancouver metro, single-zone Mitsubishi installs typically run $5,500–$8,500, and whole-home multi-zone systems $18,000–$28,000 before rebates — depending on zone count, head types, and electrical. Clark PUD rebates lower that further. See our ductless cost guide or the estimator.
