Three questions, one real price range. Real pricing requires an in-home walkthrough, but no one should have to call five contractors to get a rough number. Pricing reflects our standard Mitsubishi or American Standard install; Ameristar value tiers run lower, premium tiers run higher.

- SEER216.0
- ProfileSide-discharge
- RefrigerantR-454B
- Warranty10-yr parts
Our default recommendation: a low-profile side-discharge heat pump. The slim cabinet fits tight side-yard clearances, sheds snow better in winter, and runs quieter, all at 16 SEER2 on R-454B. Higher-efficiency 17–20 SEER2 tiers use a traditional top-discharge cabinet.

- SEER217.0
- HSPF28.5
- StagesTwo-stage
- Warranty10-yr parts
Two-stage Duration compressor runs quieter and more consistently than single-stage. Qualifies for Clark PUD rebates up to $2,500 and federal 30% tax credits.

- SEER220.5
- HSPF210.0
- StagesVariable-speed
- Warranty12-yr parts
Flagship variable-speed heat pump. AccuComfort inverter holds temperature within ½°F of setpoint. Up to 56% energy savings vs. standard. Whisper-quiet at 54 dB.
AC + Furnace (Full Split System)
Complete split-system install, new gas furnace paired with matched air conditioning condenser and evaporator coil. Traditional ducted system for homes with existing ductwork.

Ductless Mini-Split Installation
Mitsubishi ductless mini-split, single-zone or multi-zone (1–4 indoor heads). Ideal for homes without ductwork, additions, and zoned comfort. As a Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor, our installs qualify for the 12-year extended factory warranty.
Single-zone systems
One outdoor unit paired to one indoor head. The simplest ductless setup: a single room, an addition, a garage, or a bonus room that never gets comfortable.
| System | SEER2 | Full heat down to | Installed |
|---|---|---|---|
| WX-Series Standard tier | 18.0 | – | $4,800 – $7,300 |
| HX-Series H2i Hyper-Heat | 20.0 | 5°F | $5,000 – $7,500 |
| FX-Series H2i sumo, flagship | 29.9–35 | −13°F | $7,200 – $11,700 |
Priced by number of indoor heads
One outdoor unit runs every head, and each head has its own thermostat. Cost scales with how many rooms you want to control.
| Indoor heads | Standard | H2i Hyper-Heat | H2i sumo |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 heads 2-zone | $7,500 – $9,900 | $8,700 – $11,400 | $10,100 – $13,300 |
| 3 heads 3-zone | $9,300 – $12,300 | $11,100 – $14,700 | $13,000 – $17,100 |
| 4 heads 4-zone | $10,600 – $14,000 | $12,200 – $16,100 | $14,700 – $19,300 |
Four ways to put it in the room
A “mini-split” is really a choice of indoor unit. Every one of these runs off the same outdoor unit, so you can mix them room by room: a wall head in the bedrooms, a floor unit under a bay window, a cassette in the open living room.

High on the wall, out of the way. The one most people picture, and the one we install most.
- Capacity
- 6,000 – 36,000 BTU
- Cost per head
- Least expensive head

Sits low against the wall like a radiator. For rooms with big windows, low ceilings or no clear wall space.
- Capacity
- 9,000 – 18,000 BTU
- Cost per head
- Adds ~$1,800 – $2,250

Recessed between the ceiling joists, blowing one direction. Nearly invisible. Only the grille shows.
- Capacity
- 6,000 – 18,000 BTU
- Cost per head
- Adds ~$600 – $1,350

Drops into the ceiling and blows all four directions. Best for a square, open room you want heated evenly.
- Capacity
- 9,000 – 18,000 BTU
- Cost per head
- Adds ~$600 – $1,200
Cost per head is what a head of that style adds against a standard wall head of the same capacity, installed. One outdoor unit drives up to eight heads; only the MXZ-SM48NAM carries H2i Hyper-Heat, so that is the one we spec when a multi-zone job has to hold full heating capacity through a cold snap. Every head carries the 12-year Diamond warranty. If you want the equipment fully hidden with real ductwork, that is a ducted air handler rather than a mini-split. Ask and we will price it.
