What separates Summit from the others.
Summit doubles the visit frequency and adds advanced diagnostics that most HVAC companies don’t offer on any plan. Twice-a-year service means both sides of your system — heating and cooling — get full attention before their respective seasons. The advanced diagnostic tools we bring on Summit visits catch problems most techs miss.
Summit includes everything in Ridge, on each of two visits:
- Full Base Camp checklist (filters, thermostat, electrical, drain, lubrication, startup)
- Full Ridge additions (coil cleaning, refrigerant check, fan/motor inspection, duct inspection, amperage testing)
Plus the advanced services:
- Advanced diagnostic testing. We use specialized test equipment — manifold gauges, clamp meters, combustion analyzers — to identify degradation that wouldn’t show up in a visual check.
- Airflow measurement & balancing. We measure CFM (cubic feet per minute) at the registers to verify your system is moving the right amount of air. Imbalanced airflow is the single biggest cause of "some rooms are hotter than others" complaints.
- Indoor air quality assessment. Humidity readings, filter capacity check, recommendations on filtration upgrades. No upsell pressure — just what we measure.
- Energy efficiency analysis. A written report showing your system’s operating efficiency, projected runtime cost, and specific recommendations for improvement.
- Deep component cleaning. Beyond surface coil cleaning — full blower housing, full condenser basin, any accessible internal surfaces that impact performance.
Membership benefits: the full stack.
- Two visits per year. Spring cooling tune-up (April–May) and fall heating tune-up (September–October).
- 20% off all parts and labor. The best repair discount we offer.
- Diagnostic fee waived when repairs are needed. If we diagnose something and you approve the repair, the diagnostic is free.
- Rate protection. Parts and labor rates locked for your 12-month plan year. Rate increases during your year don’t apply.
- No trip, overtime, or diagnostic charges.
- Priority emergency dispatch — first priority. Summit members sit ahead of Ridge members in the dispatch queue.
- Written annual performance summary. End of each plan year, we send a summary of what we did, what we found, and what’s expected in the coming year.
Who Summit is a good fit for.
- Heat pump homes where the equipment runs year-round — both seasons need maintenance
- Furnace + AC homes where the AC is mission-critical (a home office, a medical need, a server closet)
- Homeowners with equipment 10+ years old where extended-life maintenance makes real economic sense
- Owners who want a documented service record for resale value
- Anyone whose time is worth more than the premium tier’s price difference
The math on Summit.
Two tune-ups at Ridge prices ($389 à la carte × 2 = $778) minus the plan price ($689) = $89 savings before any repair discount. One coil cleaning saved from Ridge vs Summit coverage typically covers the difference. Everything beyond that — 20% repair discount, waived diagnostic fees, rate protection, priority dispatch — is pure upside.
Common questions.
Why is the diagnostic fee waived?
Because on Summit we assume we’re already involved in your system’s care. Charging you to diagnose a problem when you’re paying for ongoing care feels wrong. You approve a repair, we waive the diagnostic.
What’s "rate protection"?
Our labor rates go up annually (roughly 3–5%). When you’re on Summit, your rates are locked for your 12-month plan year. If you renew the next year, you renew at current market rates — we don’t bait-and-switch.
What’s an "energy efficiency analysis"?
We measure how efficiently your system is operating right now (actual BTU output per kWh or therm), compare to its nameplate rating, and flag any degradation. The report tells you whether your system is still performing at spec or if it’s costing you money silently.
